I would put locks in the doors.

The security is good but I would've liked if only staff was allowed in the luggage room instead of just buzzing people in. You only need to verify the ticket if you are taking the luggage out of the room. But if you can step into the room if you have a ticket and have the door shut behind you (without verifying if the ticket actually matches luggage in the room). Also the website states that you can rent a lock if needed but in some cases you actually have to pay 4 euros.

We loved the place...staff were great..good location, as this place is so busy we unfortunately could not stay longer but well worth the money....FANTASTIC

it is a church hostel, the atmosphere is friendly and helpful. The location is good, very easy to find.

The room wasn't clean. The blanket was dirty and only had one sheet the first night. Everything else was okay. Great location near Red Light District but it was hard to find.

Nice location. And it was lovely and quiet. No parties, no drunks . Religion not pushed. Staff was great. woman's four bedder was up narrow steep stairs two flights. Think I would opt for the larger dorms on the ground floor next time. I would return.

I only stayed a short time (one night), but shelter City is very welcoming, caring and friendly, one can feel the service based on christian ¨care for your neighbours¨. thank you!

If the hair dryer is provided in the hostel, it will be perfect.

When you say Christian hostel, that doesn't just mean no drugs or alcohol. It is VERY Christian

It was a really nice hostel, people are always looking to help and to see if everything is going well. The location is pretty good because its right next to the main reed light district street

I really enjoyed my stay. it was very convenient we have breakfast till 10:30 AM. so i could sleep in a bit. I stayed in four person room. I want to suggest it would be nice to have a power plug for each bed.

Room was average, only 1 chair for 4 people, no table. Small bathroom. Good security. Breakfast was very limited. Overall I had good experience.

I think the hostel need the key for each room so every guest feel secure..because my friend's money was stolen in the room..

This hostel is located in the red light district, so you can imagine what it is like in the nearby streets at night. The hostel itself is just fair. The check-in counter is always crowded. Rooms are big, but beds are not comfortable. The rooms are not very clean, as you can spot trash everywhere. Bathrooms have little privacy, for people can easily peek over the door of the bathing cubes. Staffs are just ok. Not as friendly as staffs at most other hostels. Breakfast is in fact pretty good.

I was thrilled that I could walk from the train station to the hostel, it was very easy to find. I also really appreciated that it was in the middle of the city and within easy walking distance of tram stations.
