Good hostel, great localization, very clean and organized. The breakfast always have an hot option, like eggs or french toast. One of the problems was that the signal of the internet was very poor and there is just one plug per room. But the hostel offered to charge equipments at the reception.

Overall very good, but it could be noisy in the night because of the poor sound isolation as well as the party people.

The staff was unpleasent. We were four people and we requested and paid to stay in the same room, together. When we arived at the hostel we were put in two different rooms, for the same price. They said that they couldn't do anything, although the booking was made one month in advance.

I will say although there is the policy of no alcohol or drugs I saw SEVERAL people carrying in alcohol from the street to drink it in the common room or their bedroom. I feel like that wasn't good. Other than that the only other thing was a little bit of creepy men in the hostel made me uncomfortable.

No wifi in the room, and even public area, only at limited area near the reception. You know internet is really important sometime for travellers. This was quite annoying. Other facilities are ok. Location is great. And this is a Christian hostel. It should be written about for information.

This hostel is one of the best in the city. You can count on the staff to always be friendly. There's plenty of snacks available all day, clean bathrooms, and computers available for your use so you never feel like you are without. There's a good selection for the free breakfast every morning and cheap meals offered during the day.

They clean the restrooms just one time a day, we had to share the batheroom with 32 people and they were next to the dining hall and bar so that everybody else used them as well. And after a while, it was not that nice to use them especially as a girl. But everything else was nice. Nice staff, good breakfast und a perfect location. Everything is in walking distance.

The layout is uncomfortable. The bathrooms with showers are down the hall through a common space from the bedrooms. The bathrooms don't provide a changing area, and there was hair on the shower walls as well as clogging the drains. There weren't enough power points for everyone to charge their electronics. The lockers in the rooms weren't fastened to the floor or wall, so they rattled around when putting in or getting out my backpack.

The staff was very kind to me and location of the hostel was great ! Breakfast was also okay. However, it was a clean hostel. I feel comfortable about my stuff because of the camera system of the hostel I lost nothing of my belongings. One negative side thing is when you open or close the door it makes so much noise that i woke up in the middle of the night a couple of times. Anyway, I am glad to stay in Shelter City in Amsterdam it was both affordable and enjoyable 3 days for me.

This place was very cozy and welcoming, although note that it is literally about three doors down from the Red Light District. WiFi is everywhere, they had free hot breakfast, and the beds were very comfortable, but I wish that there were larger lockers, keys for the doors, and more outlets to charge things. Overall, though, I really liked it!!

It was warm, which was really good because it was very cold in Amsterdam. Staff and facilities were really good. However, the first night was impossible for sleep until an 'American team' (staff terminology) finished their last nights celebrations and goodbyes which meant them clapping, singing, chanting for an hour at least - 11.30 to 12.30 at night. It was heard through all the dorms. People trying to sleep, grrrrr.
