Very unfriendly owner. When I asked him why the rooms are so different in comparison to the pictures on the website (which is rather normal, I just wanted to mention it) he became very unfriendly and told me that I bring bad Karma to the place. His behaviour was the reason why we decided not to stay here.

We arrived last minute after a terrible journey from Nepal and the owner and his family were AMAZING! It was holi festival the next day and they put on the most INCREDIBLE rooftop party! Colours, water, music, food, beer! Everything was catered for! The room was clean, hot showers, yummy food, really helpful staff, easy airport transfer, great location! HIGHLY recommend this guesthouse!

Excellent food in the rooftop restaraunt. The staff were so frienfly and helpful and we got on very well with them, really nice guys who are honest and genuine. Room was ideal and the guest house is in a great location. Some reviews complain about the guest house being hard to find but we found it easy no problem. Just ask anyone for the Munshi Ghat and once you are there everyone will show you to the guest house. Really easy! Thank you for a wonderful and warm welcome to india.

Great location, value for money, and HOT showers. Staff were fantastic, so helpful and ensured I had everything i needed and that i got the most out of my stay - very handy tips, etc. The terrace was the highlight, unreal spot to sit and read a book as the sun goes down. Rooftop restaurant was great too. Would certainly recommend!

Great location right near MunshiGhat. The staff are helpful and the food served is good. Rooms are quite small and basic however. Best thing is the location.

A bit tricky to find by myself at night but the location is ideal as very well placed and a couple of minutes away from the Ganges. Everyone was really friendly and helpful there too!

We couldnt find it and their phone number didnt work and they dont answer emails! We arrived late in Varanassi and had to walk around in a not very nice area trying to find shiva guesthouse and after giving up trying to find something new, getting desperat as it was getting later and later so we had to take a hotel alot more expensive, plus Shiva guesthouse charged my creditcard for the first night!

The owners are so nice! When we arrived late at night they brought us up tea! The owner is a bit of a del boy and can get you anything you need at a lower price! He sorted our boat trip out and airport taxi. There is a lovely view from the roof top. Great location but a nightmare to find down the back streets. Rooms are basic but nice and clean. No AC and drop toilets are the only things that let it down.

good place nice room helpful staff
