You walk in and feel at home. Shane, the guy at the front desk helped me navigate the public transportation, he told me all the cool places to go and even worked with me when I accidentally missed my train and had to stay an extra night! I felt very safe and the place was very clean. Everything is very easy to get to because the sky tram station is right down the road. Highly recommend Siam journey guesthouse!

Siam Journey was just what I needed after 5 weeks around Thailand having bedded down in a bamboo hut the previous week! It is clean, in a great location and has an excellent atmosphere. Shane was brilliant in offering advice and tips on where to eat, shop and watch free Muay Thai. It was the perfect place for the end of my journey before heading back home - MBK down the road for souveniers, excellent street food and unlike the tourist based Khao San Rd, it was in a very Thai area which I loved.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in Bangkok. Absolutely clean, quiet, international and helpful staff. Close to Siam shopping areas and to the BTS airport link. Perfect location if you want to spend time away from the touristic downtown. Hard to find if you haven't been there before but the guy in the reception helps you a lot. Only thing, hard beds.

Good location, clean, comfortable beds, hot shower, free drinking water. Small, chilled out place, close to bts and airport link station. Had a minor issue where I was over charged slightly, but otherwise a great experience. Would visit again for sure.

Good location for the airport train, Facilities are all down steep stairs and the top room(s) are very hot during the day due to design short comings internet is OK and furniture and decor are shabby .

Dorm for 10 people is lovely and big with your own light and power socket. The main reception area is pretty small but cosy and the staff were great just as a friendly face and would do their best to help you with any enquiries

I was just passing through on my way to Chiang Mai and it was the perfect place to stay for the night. It was clean, staff was nice, and there was a board with many recommendations of what to do in Bangkok. I liked the local neighborhood it was in. Right by some great street food and a local catered bar scene.

A small, non-party, low-key hostel, which is what I wanted. The location can be a bit hard to find at first, but after you know it, it's easy. I like that the lockers were outside of the rooms. This is a good option if you want to be near the airport, since it's off the airport link.

Hard to find but worth the walk. Get lost in and around the neighborhood to see the REAL Bangkok lifestyle.

I like this hostel a lot, it's in a very charming, relaxed and at same time central location in Bangkok. Easy to meet people and Nathan is a really nice guy, he let me also store my luggage during the day when I came back to Bangkok for my flight to Vietnam after my trip to the north :D Highly recommended hostel

The Siam Journey Guest House is a very cozy, small Hostel and a veeery familiar atmosphere. I couldn't get rid of the feeling that it's more like a homestay, turned into a hostel - which is a positive thing in this case ;) Anyway, the beds are good (reading lights and power outlets, yeah!), the rooms are okay and the atmosphere is awesome - oh, and Siam Journey is one of the cheapest Hostels in Bangkok!

My taxi driver had to call the hostel to figure out where it was (but that's because taxi drivers don't understand maps!) I picked it because it was near the airport link, just down the road. The room was fine, air con was great. Showers were fine, free tea and coffee, and lockers. The only downside was the room was above the common room which was a little noisy but that is where ear plugs come in handy! A woman volunteer working was very friendly but the main owner seemed a bit rude.

What a lovely guesthouse in the heart of Bangkok. Very good location and it is in a lovely typical neighborhood. Short walk to the metro and the airport link, MBK....Excellent, helpful and friendly staff! Will come back for sure!!

Great hostel with a great staff. The rooms were a little noisy with thin walls, but the staff and the vibe in the place more than made up for it.

Stayed here three nights; Siam Journey is average to below. It's tucked back in an authentic Thai neighborhood, the beds are decent and the common room is welcoming and social, but the bathrooms are pretty rugged and smell like septic. The kicker for me was the staff: They're helpful if prodded, but are generally a couple of condescending dudes more or less burnt out on the job. Unless of course you're an attractive female, in which case they'll dance the Charleston on top of a flagpole.

The best Thing about this hotel was their staff, very kind and really helpful. very good people. Another thing, when we were in Siem Reap there was a cut off electricity and almost the entire city was without electricity but the hotel never loose it, I dont know why but it was very important because of the air cond.
