The place is really well located, it was clean and the staff was really nice but the bed wasn’t comfortable the mattress was too used and a hole formed in the middle. The towels smelled bad and the lockers were very small.

We booked here for 2 nights but decided not to stay after we checked in and saw our room. Our female room with 6 beds was extremely and feels overcrowded. On top of that, we saw black mold behind the lockers and it was like 2 weeks away from where we would lay our heads. We notified the staff and they were accommodating by checking on the issue along with a solution. They gave us the option to get a refund or stay in another room but my partner and I would be separated. We left and got a hotel.

Hostelworld says

St Christopher's Edinburgh is very highly rated here on Hostelworld for its location, and no wonder - it's just off the Royal Mile and across the road from Waverly Train station, making it ideal for those coming to Edinburgh by train from London and elsewhere in Scotland and Northern England. This hostel has friendly staff and bright, clean rooms with under-bed lockers; there's also a popular bar underneath with discounts for residents on food and drink.
