CODE The Court is a unique social hostel set inside a former courthouse and jail in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town. Combining historic character, privacy pods, daily social events and modern communal spaces, it's the perfect base for travellers looking to explore the city and meet new people

LOCATION. Stay in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, just off the Royal Mile behind St Giles’ Cathedral. Within walking distance of Edinburgh Castle, nightlife, restaurants, cafés, train and bus stations and the city's top attractions.

FREE DAILY EVENTS. Meet travellers from around the world through our daily programme of events and experiences including free walking tour, local beer sampling, Ceilidh introduction, paint & sip, and much more!

PRIVACY PODS. Our custom-designed pods offer the best of both worlds: the social atmosphere of a hostel and the privacy of your own space. Each pod includes a charging point, reading light and secure storage to help you enjoy a comfortable night's sleep.

NEW COMMON AREAS. Discover The Pend, our newly opened common area, featuring a shared kitchen, co-working space, cinema room and quiet library.

UNIQUE & HISTORICAL BUILDING. Stay inside a former courthouse and jail transformed into one of Edinburgh's most unique hostels. Sleep in our signature pod dorms or in one of the original holding cells.

CODE The Court Conditions:

Cancellation policy: 72h before arrival, 100% charge
Check in from 15:00 to 23:00 .
Check out before 11:00 .
We do not accept Diners card.
Taxes included.
Breakfast not included.
No curfew.
Non smoking.
Under-aged guests have to be accompanied by an adult and a private room should be booked.
No pets.

Group payment policies:

A non-refundable deposit of 20% will be charged in order to secure the reservation.
The remaining balance is due 28 days prior to the arrival date.
If we are unable to charge the card the reservation may be cancelled.

Cancellation policies for groups:

If the whole reservation is cancelled up to 28 days before the arrival date, the accommodation deposit (20% of the reservation) will not be refunded.

The group reservation can be amended free of charge up to 28 days prior to arrival. If due to the amendments the value of the reservation falls below the original deposit amount, then we will not be able to refund the difference.

If you cancel your group reservation less than 28 days before your day of arrival, no refund will be given and the outstanding amount will be due.

If you are booking within 28 days of the arrival date the full amount will be due immediately, no refund will be given for any cancellation or amendments.

Upon arrival a code of conduct needs to be signed by a group leader and a damage deposit taken. (£300 pre-authorisation on a valid credit card.)
