Magnifiquement placés en surplomb du centre historique, nous avons même pu avoir une chambre double. Tout est très exigu, mais ca fait partie du charme "chalet". Le personnel est sympathique, efficace et... a de l'humour ! Un petit bémol: les sanitaires (partagés) était un peu crados en fin de matinée, après que tout le monde s'est douché.

The hostel is up on a hill--indeed it is quite tiring to climb up with our heavy backpacks, but the view from the dinning room and open-air restaurant hostel is absolutely beautiful. Together with a brilliant breakfast, it is worth our efforts to reach there.

They put breakfast very late...at 9 a..m.; there's no room to stay appart from the room and nobody working at night...so there were some guy starting the washing machine at 23:30...those are not facilities for a traveller who has to wake up at 8:00 a.m. and hasn't anything for breakfast...this way really poor.

There was no wifi. Also, once the restaurant closed downstairs, there was no place for you to hang out... you were forced to go into your room. When this happened, there was no one else in the hostel so I was alone in the building. The food in the restaurant was good value, and the breakfast was decent. You were basically forced to take a 10 Euro cab from the train station if you weren't wearing your luggage on your back, because the cliff was so steep to walk up to. Amazing views!

The location is phenomenal! Perched with a dominant view of Salzburg and actually built into the old city wall, with a great restaurant downstairs, too. It is a hike to get up, but a very beautiful one.

the location is best for landscape!! you can watch the most beautiful Salzburg's old town view sitting in the corner of the restaurant!! It is worth to sit there for a whole day to enjoy that peaceful and wonderful view!! instead, you need to pay compensation when you get there. it's not recommend you walk uphill with luggage bags, otherwise you need to pay 9 euro to take a 1 minute lifts to upstairs without any sences. ( just as normal as you take any lift in modern city.)

Takes a bit of finding but once there it is a great location overlooking Salzburg. Rooms are cosy and warm.

It's a nice hotel but the limitation is hostel location. It's very far from city centre located on the hill.
