Good hostel with a hotel vibe. Some people from the staff were really nice and others seemed annoyed. Location might not be the best but it's still okay to move around.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room were clean. It is a good stop for a night or two, but not really hostel for backpackers, as it is also a hotel and has no common rooms, so you cannot really meet people.

Good value for money but definitely just a hotel vibe not a hostel vibe at all. Too far from the city centre, clean beds and room but the one small shower and toilet for one big room wasn’t ideal. They should also implement age limits for the bunk rooms as it wasn’t nice having a sick old man coughing and snoring all night..

Hostelworld says

In typical Meininger style, their Salzburg City Centre hostel spoils its guests on location. Sited close to the historic old town, you can explore all the city's favourite sights, such as Mozart's birthplace and the Festival Hall, on foot with ease. If retail therapy is your thing, then you're right in Zentrum im Berg, the city's shopping centre. But it's not just the location that makes this hostel great. The bar is the perfect place to meet fellow travellers and bond over a game of pool or table football, and its kitchen helps keep food costs to a minimum.
