Our hostel is situated in the heart of Salzburg up on the moenchsberg.

Enjoying a unique location on the Moenchsberg mountain in the centre of the city, the Stadtalm Naturfreundehaus offers panoramic views over Salzburg from all rooms, the restaurant and the garden.

In the rustic dining room with a fireplace or in the charming garden you can enjoy typical Austrian specialities.

The simply furnished dormitories of the Naturfreundehaus have wooden floors. Bathroom facilities are shared. The Stadtalm Naturfreundehaus is easily reachable on foot from the Festival Hall, the Getreidegasse and Mozart's birthplace within 10 minutes or by the Moenchsbergbahn funicular.

Really nice staff. There was a problem with our booking but they did everything to make it up to us. If you don't mind stairs or paying 2,5€/p for elevator to reach the hostel, it's a good location close to the old center with amazing view over the city.

Enjoyed my 3 night stay. Staff where great. The location is not advisable for the elderly or very young children. Also a taxi driver could not find the hotel so I had to pay TWICE, not good. Did not get my deposit back for my key as I had an early flight back home. Very nice location. Cheers.
