Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark is your best starting point! This modern Hostelling International hostel is centrally located right in the middle of the famous Vondelpark, within walking distance of the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. We’re at crawling distance from the Leidseplein, with its famous nightlife and clubs like Paradiso, Melkweg and Jimmy Woo!

The hostel is partly located in a monumental chalet building from which you’ll have a stunning view over the Vondelpark! We have 574 beds divided over two-, four-, six- and eight-bedded rooms and some large dormitories. One room with facilities for wheelchair users (please inquire before booking). All rooms have a shower, toilet and washbasin and free individual lockers (bring your own padlock or buy one at reception). Other facilities include a lobby area, free Wi-Fi, a laundrette, bike shelter, tourist info and discount tickets, electronic door locks, lockers and safes. Our reception is open 24/7 and there’s no curfew.

Our lively bar has sports on TV and good music. Here you'll meet lots of people. We serve hearty and healthy food at great prices and we have the cheapest beer in town.

At the reception you can buy tickets for several things to do in Amsterdam (Museums, Canal tour, Heineken Experience, Madame Tussauds) with big discounts.

Good to know!
- Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Please read our Things to Note below before booking.
- Breakfast is not included, but you can book it separately or buy it at the hostel. Breakfast is against payment of € 10.50
- Linen is included; you just make your own (bunk) bed.
- Towels are not included. These can be rented at the hostel for € 2.00 per towel (or you can bring your own, of course).
- Padlocks for the luggage lockers can be bought at the desk (or you can bring your own, of course).
- Standard rooms have bunk beds.
-Tourist tax of 12,5% per night of the cost of the room, is not included. Please pay upon arrival.
- Stayokay and Hostelling International members do not receive member discount on this booking.

Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark is a cashless hostel. You can pay contactless and with all major bank and credit cards. It is not possible to pay with cash in our accommodation.

Perfect location right next to Vondelpark and lots of exciting restaurants, night life, and the Van Gogh museum. Nice and quiet in my room, clean facilities, helpful staff. The only drawback is that I didn’t find it easy to meet people as there weren’t any free group activities, any activities, and the dining/bar area had people sitting on their own with their headphones in. Would stay again due to the fabulous location. Definitely recommend reading their guide right away to get tips on what to.

I booked because the photos showed bright rooms with high ceilings. Instead, I was placed in a ground floor mixed dorm with myself & five men. The ceiling was so low I couldn’t sit upright in the top bunk. One roommate was off, so I asked to move. After asking twice, I was moved to a better room, but it still looked nothing like the photos. The bedroom walls were also dirty—only the common areas seemed clean. Unfortunately, the character limit leaves no room to mention the positives!

There are several buses and trams nearby which go across the city. Hostelworld guests tell us this hostel offers great value for money, "a nice mix for international visitors" and that they'd recommend it "if you want a quiet night in Amsterdam". We particularly like their highly-praised, typically Dutch breakfast of cheese, meats, eggs and more.
