Awesome place to stay, very good for helping you figure out what to do in Madrid. Came with little agenda and have fun every day doing things the hostel sponsored. We went on a tour with Pablo who just rocked it, fun guy and an excellent tour guide!

locations very strategics at the city center, its helping me to go around the city with my lack of time... the room clean, and they have internet for free.... :)

We had booked to stay at the Students Hostel but were moved to a different location, without a kitchen. The hostel we stayed at was the Cervelo which is just around the corner. We were upgraded to an ensuite room but it was noisy all night. The walking tour in which we had to wait 30min for someone to collect us turned out to be awesome and Harriett was a very engaging and fun hostess who showed her passion for Madrid and made it real highlight.

Pros: It was very close to everything we wanted to see. Towels are provided and they clean the room each day like a hotel. Cons: There's only one bathroom on the floor, so that can get inconvenient. The neighborhood is also a little noisy. The staff did everything they had too, but they didn't go above and beyond.

Friendly and eager to help staff. Great location close to La Latina, Lavapies, Huertas a & Sol. Hostel was great for its price.

We enjoyed our stay here! Like others have mentioned, they sent us to a room in a hostel around the corner, but it was very nice and clean with a private bathroom. There were also fun things to do organized by the hostel every day so its a great way to see the city and meet other travelers.

A fairly good place to stay. Didn't really have any events for guests. However, if you would like a private room with your own bathroom for a decent price, then this is a good place to stay

The location is great in that it is in a popular neighborhood and close to the metro, but it is a bit hard to find. The rooms are VERY nice and VERY clean. Very spacious rooms. It felt like a bed and breakfast more than a hostel.

Luis Velez is something of a hotel-hostel hybrid. The rooms are clean and secure, and there are several activities to take part in every night. The staff is awesome (especially David!!) and the tapas tour and pub crawls are a great way to experience the Madrid nightlife! The location is great and you can walk to pretty much anything you would want to see. This hostel is a great value and I would definitely stay here again! David, you rock! -The Tree Girls

This hostel has been the best hostel I have been to. The staff is very nice and always willing to help. The location is very convenient, I was amazed at how close it was to everything. I pretty much saw this hostel as a hotel. I loved that our sheets were cleaned everyday and our beds were made. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone staying Madrid.

On our arival we were asked if we would like to upgrade to a room with it's own bathroom. We said: no thank you, since we didn't want to pay more. Later we learned that we were going to have our own bathroom anyway. The guy from the reception thought he could get more money out of us We were moved to a hostel a few blockes down. The 2nd hostel had no usable kitchen and we had to go through a labirynth of corridors to get to our room. It was all very bizzare. Like something from Monty Python.

highly recommended! the location was awesome, price was great, and the staff were professional and very kind. My key to the room broke off in the lock last nigh (credit card type) and the very kind man behind the desk was able to retrieve for me. He was so nice! and would not even accept a tip for his service. Upon arrival they asked if we wanted to upgrade to a private room/private bath for 5 extra euro. Of course we did. Just like a hotel! I was very pleased. I am telling all my friends!!!

Our room was occupied for 1 day but they offered a beeter room with individual bathroom for this day without obligation to pay more. The hostel is clean. The stuff is friendly.

The staff were very friendly and the rooms very clean and well looked after. We only booked a room with shared bathrooms but were given a room with ensuite which was very nice of them. We enjoyed our stay and loved the location.
