Emily and Roman's place is a lovely slice of the mountainside above Dulan. Staying with them is like enjoying the outdoor life - camping, but better. You get an outdoor shower, an outdoor kitchen, and some R&R with their dog and two cats. Their kids are a fun, rambunctious bunch. You get spectacular views of the night sky but also all the drawbacks of tropical camping, like really large spiders and ants pretty much everywhere. Nonetheless, it's a great experience for a night or two! Recommended.
We stayed here for 2 nights and it was wonderful. Very quiet and peaceful, up in the mountains above the coast. When they say don't try and find them in the dark - they mean it! We got there a little after dark the first day and the roads are a bit rough. Other than that, our stay was great. Outdoor kitchen was well-equipped and even though the temps were cold for Taiwan when we stayed, the outdoor shower was still OK. Friendly cats and a dog on the property too.
