WaGaLiGong Dulan

WaGaLiGong is a small family run business located in the cultural village of Dulan on Taiwan's scenic east coast. Dulan has a bohemian mix of aboriginal Taiwanese, foreigners, Han Chinese, artists, musicians and surfers and is arguably one of the best places in Taiwan to spend some time. Our hostel is run by passionate people who are willing to share their experiences and way of life with travelers.

We can comfortably accommodate over 20 guests. We offer three private rooms, two rooms with backpacker-style accommodation and one Japanese-style shared room for groups. Prices range from NT$300 a head to NT$1550 for a room.

We are within walking distance from the bus stop, 7-11, Sugar Factory and Dulan beach.

We have an inhouse surf/outdoor center with surfboard/SUP/windsurf/ rentals and equipment for sale and professional coaching/tours on request.

Our shop also sells a variety of merchandise, clothes,flip flops and boardshorts / bikinis.

At WaGaLiGong, you can enjoy draft beer on tap and pizza while watching surf movies on the screen. You can practice yoga, meditation or simply get in some sun bathing to your favorite music within view of the Pacific and Green Island on our rooftop area. You can relax in our lounge, watch movies or read books from our library exchange. At WaGaLiGong , WIFI, coffee, tea and kitchen are free for all guests. We have a laundry machine and a rooftop hangout area to chat with fellow travelers or simply relax.

We are also looking for volunteers to help in exchange for lodging, board and surfing.


1.Our reception is open from 9:00 - 21:00
2.All ages are welcome on our property.
3. Check In Time is between 14:00 to 21:00. If later than 22:00 please inform in advanced or the reception will be closed. Our check-out time is at 11:30.
4. We don't allow outside food in the restaurant/bar area.There is no smoking allowed on the premises.
5.We accept cash only upon arrival.
6.We require a minimum of 5 days advance notice for a cancellation free of charge.
7. Cancellation Policy: No cancellation fee if the room is cancelled 5 days before the arrival date. 50% of total room cost will be charged if cancelled within 5 days of arrival date, and 100% of the room cost will be charged if cancelled on the same date or no show.
