It was the first hostel my friend and I have stayed in and we had a lovely time. A fanstastic introductory experience to hostels.

Cool hostel! Spacious private rooms. Great atmosphere for the younger crowd when everyone gets together at night. Central location. Staff were quite friendly and helpful. Thanks!

Like being back in college again - bar w/pool tables, common dining tables, clean-enough w/lively residents. Both nights people were around drinking and cooking together, not too loud but fun. Staff helped me with advice and making reservations. Lockers in rooms, hostel doors lock at night. Bikes available for hire, activities offered by hostel each night. Only complaint would be the sweaty smell, and fyi the residents were generally about 19-22; young crowd. Block from town, short walk to lake.

Chili dinner is good for 5 bucks! Clean hostel, well stoked kitchen, nice staff. Co ed bathrooms would be the only downside.

Brilliant hostel. Very friendly welcome by owners. More than happy to help. Great communal area and ridiculously cheap bar with lots on offer. Even had Scottish Irn Bru for the hangover! Rooms clean. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

In the four bed dorm the power point was behind one bed so using it was very difficult all the others except the one sleeping in that particular bed. No free wifi otherwise all good.

It was a nice stay, just few days, the hostel is nice with the bar inside but i've been sting by some bed bugs during my sleep, so annoying, i'm not sure it's about the cleanness but... otherwise good staff, location

Busy hostel but good kitchen area although it doesn't have an oven. No comfortable area for watching tv or reading. Built towards younger people and a party atmosphere which is good if that's what you want.

Fine hostel. Almost affordable WiFi, clean, was a party hostel but had amazing sound proofing. We were in our room pretty early and didn't hear a thing.

Great cheap chilli served which is a good deal! Cheap unlimited wifi! Staff were more than willing to help you book activities and suggest things to do! A nice atmosphere in the communal areas with pool tables etc. Kitchen was also very usable. A clean hostel and a good place to stay in Taupo- Great location!

We stayed at double room and that was nice: clean room, comfy bed and own shower and toilet. The only minus point was that you could hear the music from the common area, but it stopped after 10 pm. Big and well-equipped kitchen.

A nice hostel with friendly staff. It must be part of the 'Experience NZ' hostels as there were a lot of people to mix with and have a drink with at their very cheap bar, but it wasn't too noisy when you wanted to sleep= best of both worlds.

Great hostel. The kitchen was huge; two major sinks, tons of pots and pans, lots of counter space, everything you could ask for.
