The room and bathroom were decently sized and clean. Bed was comfortable. The kitchen was a good size and there was plenty of room. The major downside for me was I’d paid for a private room, however the private rooms are based right next to the entrance of the hostel so all you hear is drunk people all times of the night coming and going. All that separates you is a thin sliding door so you literally hear everything. Decent hostel but definitely not worth paying for a private room in.

A good hostel for Taupo where the pods keep you contained where you can include all your bags and belongings without feeling squished. Only downside is that if you wanted to leave belongings and explore, if someone didn't lock the door of the room then it was open for people to come in/out so just be mindful of this!
