Excellent and highly recommended. Friendly staff who book anything for you (and quickly), clean rooms, good atmosphere, free internet, close to everything and cheap bar. Great facilities overall and highly recommended.

I had a great time, even do I stayed there for just one night. The best Hostel I have been so far in New Zealand. I will totally recommended to my friend. Cheers

They could improve free wi-fi internet to the guests. The shower was the worst we have tried in New Zealand (among about 13 accomodations). There is a little bit of noise between rooms. But the mood is excellent. A funny and pleasant place to stay in. Nothing else to say but that the hostel is AWESOME.

We ended up staying an extra night and had a ball! We made friends with locals, were right in the centre of town, they put on a $5 chilli con carne every night and definitely have the cheapest drinks! the staff were really helpful and friendly and mostly were there to travel themselves. The beds were comfy, it was very clean and well set up. A must stay if you are in taupo, nothing else comes close!

Room was perfect and all we needed for a place to rest our heads. Only problem we had was the guests next door coming in late and talking loudly with no consideration for other guests. I know it's a hostel and is what to be expected but it did effect our stay here.

The dorm rooms were clean and functional and the cheap bar is a nice place to get a couple of beers after the exertions of the day expriencing taupo and the surrounding areas. Seems to attract a very young "Kiwi Experience" crowd though so its not a place for quiet night!

Really nicely run hostel, great location and activities. Cheap bar and chilli is always a plus. All it needs is a wifi connection

Amazing hostel! The rooms and bathrooms were clean and I loved the atmosphere. It was right in the middle of everything and the staff made it really easy to book activities. Loved the bar and the beer pong :)

Beware of booking a 16 person dorm as the likelihood that you will get repeatedly woken up by drunks staggering in, shouting, and running into everything is very high. The door to the room can be unlocked and was always unlocked when I tried to enter. Great location and beds were decent. Would consider staying at TUR again, but definitely not in the humungous dorm room

A safe place to stay. Sometimes a bit loud. Close to the center. I was a bit disappointed about the free internet. You get one hour per night you stay on one of their 3 computers.

I've stayed here around 4 or 5 times, and love it. Great location, friendly staff, good facilities. I'll be back again no doubt!

We had a great night's sleep in Taupo! We really were just passing through but the facilities were safe and sound. The staff was delightful and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm staying in Taupo!

Good bar and great location, but loud and not the cleanest.

This is a good hostel, great bar area for socialising. Would stay here again.

walls must be a bit thin as was a bit noisy late at night, and light in room were not too bright. also wifi would be great

very noisy if you wanna sleep and don t participate to the bar fun at night.
