We loved this hostel! It was really nicely decorated and very clean. The people were really friendly and the place has a cozy feeling. We would recommend this to anyone going through Montreal!

We stayed in one of the rooms for three people - and we were surprised at how large it was. It had two cute windows where you could sit on the ledge and look out onto the street. There is a kitchen available where you can cook your own food. We liked all the art on the walls. There are quite a few floors and no elevators (which was not a problem for us). There really aren't any cheap parking options if you drive here. Expect to pay quite a bit if you want to park nearby.

Wonderful location, ideal area to travel from. Staff couldn't be better. There was even an evening of music put on by the hostel. Loved the walk along the warfs and canal; and enjoyed some beautiful sunrises! Montreal is a classy city, and has a wonderful mix of French and Canadian culture / people. Lots to see and do, and there is also more to come back to sample too. It is also a good base to take in Ottawa and Quebec (among other places).

The evening I arrived at the hostel turned out to be an exceptional and spontaneous night of conversation, music, poetry and storytelling shared between a diverse and lively group of characters. Some affinities and bonds began that night and various friendships have developed. It was both a creative inspiration and a profound and intense personal encounter as well as a social impetus to engage with a great, historic and distinctly cultivated city for the rest of the whole week I stayed there.

A good location, and a nice kitchen / communal space which smells pleasantly of herbs. The dorms are pretty basic: it's the sort of place where you can't sit up in the top bunk without hitting your head on the ceiling, and one of the dorms is basically just some bunks behind a curtain in a corridor.

I stayed at the hostel for 5 nights in a 6 bed mix dorm room and it was clean. Also, The facility such as the bathrooms and kitchen were well maintained. The hostel provided free coffee and loose leaf teas for the travelers. The hostel is 5 minutes walk to the Metro station. The draw back is that a super market to shop for food was not closed by the hostels. But, overal the staff at the hostel was friendly and the environment was lay back. I was able to meet and hang out with other travelers.

Some of the restrooms on the hostel didn't had a light that work and in 2 of them there was only very hot water. When you tried you have cold or "normal" water nothing would come out. Except from that, everything was good!

Great hostel! It was really hot, and there were fans to keep us cool. People were respectful and quiet, the vibe was friendly, and the breakfast was good. I recommend this hostel for a good sleep in the Old Port!
