The Lily Pad Reviews

This hostel is in a well fitted out modern building just a few minutes walk from Dali ancient city. The staff were very friendly and acted very quickly to change our room when we found a plumbing problem. My Chinese wife and I were most impressed with the whole set-up.

The Lily Pad is a clean and nice hostel to stay. Our 6 bed dorm was fairly new, good beds and good sized lockers under the beds. Staff is very frendly and helpful..but sometimes a little disorganised. The food at the hostel is also good. We enjoyed our stay there :)

Our stay in the lily pad was wonderfull! The most friendly and helpfull staff we've had in china, i would definately recommend this hostel to anyone who is visiting Dali!

Super helpful staff! Lots of points for them alone! Very friendly, walked me to the travel agency when they didn't reply on the phone, offered to fetch medicine when sick, and gave great directions and tips for getting around. Rooms and courtyard were charming, dogs cute, great atmosphere, favorite hostel thus far!

We spent 1 night there , we appreciated our stay . The private dorm 2 beds was good for money and clean . It was quiet at night . They just need to clean more often the share bathroom ;). The hostel is well based , in a quiet place at only 5 to 10 minutes walk to the old town ... Staff was mostly very nice . Good place to stay ! Good value for your money ...

i think it's the nicest hostel where i've ever stayed. the facilities are excellent, the place is lovely, the staff are most helpful, and the location is great.

amazing experience. putting heating inside the lobby or the rooms would be a good idea.
