The hostel is in a good location to public transportation; the bus. Near two very good restaurants. A third that is a bakery and restaurant (but does close at 1500 hrs). The staff was very helpful, polite. The breakfast is pancakes which you make for yourself. Coffee and Tea are free, as is all computer wfi...There is food for sale. Kitchen is very large and good for cooking meals. Large fridge and freezer. Balcony has a nice view of the volcano.

Clean beds, and bathrooms were nearly spotless. Mellow, laid back atmosphere. Nice, friendly staff and patrons. The front deck is perfect for enjoying the free pancake breakfast and coffee.

This hostel is a much cleaner, quieter and more secure option in Wailuku. If you are looking to sleep and feel ok leaving your things in your room then stay here. I had a private room and was feeling quite under the weather when I checked in. The staff was really nice during the check in and they were friendly about storing my luggage all day. The showers/bathrooms are clean and the kitchen area is well stocked if you feel like making your meals or storing food. A great base for a Maui vacation!

Very clean, quiet, relaxing, and friendly/helpful staff, I really liked this hostel. It is not a party hostel but people are particularly nice and people cook, watch a movie, eat tapas in the evening. They have free pancakes, plenty of parking, secure storage, a balcony. I have never slept so well in an hostel!

Thoroughly enjoyed stay. Pancakes for breakfast were "awesome" even if self made. Need more backpackers to take up the ideas used here for organisation yet laid back approach. Happy atmosphere and helpful staff. hanks guys for a lovely end to my stay on Maui.T

I absolutely loved staying at the Northshore. The complimentary airport shuttle was fabulous. Sharing pancakes with everyone in the morning was great. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location is great - very central for exploring the whole island. There is a great Thai restaurant next door. Overall - thank you guys.

The staff could not have been nicer or any more accommodating. The location was convienent to the bus depot and the atmosphere, overall, was nice however, the 5 days that I was there the TV seemed to dominate the main sitting room so that it was hard to meet and converse with other guests. I highly reccommend this hostel.

That's a real nice hostel. You can rent a scooter easily and explore the island! It's quite in this area, but the staff is nice and you meet cool people!

The only bad thing is that you have to be quiet at 10 PM, otherwise this hostel is awsome!
