Good location, nice place and it has everything you need. Good value for money, and it might depend on period but we had to wait in line for the bathroom.

The service is very great. You could get free breakfast at Northshore hostel. The best is the rule that "Keep silence from 10PM - 10:00 AM". Unfortunately, my husband was bite by bugs during the night. Recommend this hostel if you go to Maui with limited money.

Really liked this one, although if you don't have/rent a car, you're left in the middle of nowhere so the location is kinda poor and not close to anything. Staff: Jeanine was great, Scott seemed like we were disturbing him. But hey, was alright. Excellent views on the garden, ventilated rooms and locked front door makes you feel confortable and safe. Great kitchen to meet people, nice terrace to use for dinners with wine. Four clean bathrooms was nice to have.

Good place to be, very well organized, even with a thick guidebook about the hostel and the things to do in town and on the island. The common area is not too big, but makes a perfect spot to meet other travellers. Staff is almost always very helpful and friendly, as well as the housekeeper!! Thanks for the great time!

The hostel really nice but they have too many rules. For example they turn off the TV at 10 PM - even if it's mute. You feel like being in the army.

I had a great time in Maui and staying here was a highlight. The staff are very friends and always willing to help. They always have good ideas for how to spend your day. The hostel has lots of information on what to do and see. The conditions are very clean for a hostel and you feel more like you are staying at home. They offer free all day coffee and pancakes.until 11. The location isn't the best if you don' have a car. Although the bus is just around the corner. I recommend staying here!!

This is not just another hostel, this THE HOSTEL. If you ever had a dream about the perfect hostel is this place. Staff, thank you Scott for being so nice and friendly, is unbelievable. The atmosphere is like in a big family and only nice people can go in there. It was an amazing experience being there , and it worth the money.

Rooms are a let down in this hostel - old bunk beds, no individual plugs / lights / lockers and no lock on the dorm room

This hoste is just perfect! Good central location for all places in Maui. Staff is incredible helpful, approachable and fun. Quiet hours from 10.30 pm are enforced, which is great as for many things like sunrise on Haleakala volcano you will have to get up at stupid o'clock. Great kitchen facilities, clean bathrooms, comfy mattresses. Free DIY pancakes for breakfast. Nice, mixed crowd. Overall one of the best I have ever stayed in, will stay here again if I return to Maui.

Highly recommended. Great friendly atmosphere with lots of good people and friendly roomies and atmosphere. Beautiful people from all over the world , Europe , Australia and good energy. However it is best if you have a car but you can always share with others in hostel to save...buses are a bit far and this area of maui is not the closest or best to attractions.
