This is an excellent hostel. Easy to get to from the airport and lots of parking out front. Staff were great and really helpful and I've never been in a cleaner hostel. Neighborhood doesn't have much going on at night but there are buses nearby and most visitors rent a car at some point anyways. Highly recommended!

I stayed in the dormitory with seven other guys. I was lucky in that all of them were considerate. Had a good time with a few of the people staying at the hostel. I'm planning to stay there again. I got my money's worth and more.

My first hostel experience. Arrived late but there were instructions left for me which helped tremendously. Lots of travellers, younger, older and even families! Vibe was chill and helpful. Breakfast included as well. I enjoyed my experience. :)

Really nice friendly place stay wi a convenient location for buses, nice common area, and nice balconies! Reception hours were sometimes tricky, but overall really nice. I'll definitely stay again when I'm in Maui!

Sorry that you felt the hostel was too noisy. New Years Eve is a bit loud in Maui and at the hostel. We do try to keep the guests quiet in deference to other travelers. Sorry you had a bad time....

The hostel was very nice. They do write that there is breakfast included and parking, however, the breakfast is do-it-yourself, and the parking is just a public parking in front of the hostel (12 hours limit parking). The staff is anyway very nice and helpful, and the atmosphere is relaxed and cozy.

Thanks for staying with us...we have a small staff so we can't make breakfast for all our guests....aloha!

The Northshore Hostel runs a tight ship. They keep the place organized and there are rules. This makes for a clean, safe and pleasant environment. If you are looking for a party/frat house experience, this is not the place for you. It is a very good choice if you want a pleasant place to stay while you are visiting an expensive place like maui. The location is not near the beaches, but there are chances for bus trips to cool locations.
