In the expensive Maui this hostel is a very cheap solution. The whole hostel area is clean and nice, especially the living area and kitchen. Toilets are shared, however, always clean. Rooms are quite small so there is no space to move around with all the people, beds and luggage inside, if you mind that kind of stuff. Quiet time is after 10.30 pm, so no partying is allowed, but this is the case everywhere in Hawaii.
