Iâ€™ve stayed in many hostels. I had a tough time here. Beyond the reception space, it was uncleanly (running a finger across surfaces tracked residue, indicating quick/inattentive cleaning). I woke up in the night with respiratory issues and left my room and sat in the lobby from 2/3 am onwards. I did not want to stay there again; asked for refund for the next night. Manager refused: no refunds, no exceptions. Was my misery really worth the 50 dollars? Cheap. Disputed through my bank instead.

I loved my stay at Howzit hostel. The free tours and activities offered thru the hostel are absolutely amazing. Not only do they save you heaps of money but offer the opportunity to bond with others at the hostel. The hostel itself is clean and well designed. I particularly love the communal kitchen/ living/ dining space.
