The private room is in the middle of the common area, literally surrounded on all four sides. The room smelled of mould as you stood at the door. The ceiling fan was covered in so much dust, it looked like mud. The private bathroom was nearly unusable. The mould covered the walls and ceiling. The shower had no hot water. Would not recommend at all.

Cool vibe. Staff were awesome, helped us find stuff we needed and really welcoming. Roof terrace was really cool, we spent a lot of time In the hammocks! Not much hot water and showers weren't the cleanest but all in all a great hostel if you're more into chilling with a few beers than partying all night. Would definitely stay again. Diego was awesome!

Squeaky beds with no ladders to get to the top bunks. Otherwise not bad for the price.

I have lived in okupas / squats (abandoned places) with way much better conditions than this "hostel". Don't even think about staying there. Its just not worth it. One of the staff was quite nice and friendly but everything else was just a joke. Paying European prices for a horrible bed, 2 slices of white bread, a non working shower, a broken toilet seat, a terrible internet that doesn't even work in the dorm, no atmosphere whatsoever. Also wish u don't get sick as I did after one night.

Great friendly atmosphere and very helpful staff. Could do with being a little cleaner though and something being done to the bathroom door in the girls dorm

We have heard every word in our room AT 5:00 am No hot water in the shower Allows for breakfest just two slices of toast We had to ask for towels Bad air in the shower

We booked our stay at tres mundos over a month in advance because we wanted to stay over new year. When we arrived we were told that one of us was in a separate room (we are a group of 3). Rather than apologising the guy behind reception was extremely rude, making out it wasn't a big deal. After travelling for 4 months and have never had this issue. The breakfast was really poor. There was a nicer guy behind reception who later tried to help us. Wifi was ok. Fan didn't work in room so was boilin

We are very sorry that you couldn't sleep in the same dorm. But booking 30 of december over a month in advance usually means that most of the hostel is already booked out as it happened with you. We have 2 dorms of the same type and they were already mostly occupied so the booking system automatically split you between the 2 dorms. Any other time of the year i could help you without a problem. New years eve it was impossible.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Only 3 blocks from the beach and Calle 5. I would recommend staying here. Very chill place.

Good location, short walk to the main avenue but close to plenty of local restaurants. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Beds were shockingly uncomfortable (and I've slept in my share of dorm beds). Breakfast was as described, simple but free! Wifi was good in common areas. The smoking in the courtyard was a bit off putting as it was also where people eat and the smoke came up into the dorms.

Tres Mundos is the best location around playa del carmen, Also is the best place to rest. The staff is very friendly also they help a lot to book tours and bringing to me insteresting information about this beautiful place. The stars in the night look good in the terrace. very clean, bathrooms are ok, kitchen is full furnished with everything you need to make a good meal. breackfast are better if u buy local fruits .

What an amazing hostel! The people staying there and especially the staff!! Ceci and Diego were really nice and great to hang out with. I would definitely recommend this place, especially if you know some Spanish and/or are looking for a more authentic time in Playa.
