Great hostel and great staff/family. I would def recommend this hostel and I would happily stay here again. It is very easy to walk everywhere from here once you know the ins and outs if the alleys. A simple breakfast (eggs and toast) is included in the price and the wifi is really good. They also let me choose from several rooms. There are little shops right outside for water, coke, ice cream etc...

A lovely place to stay! The room was really nice and homely, and clean with a big bathroom. There was no air con but the fan was ok. We'd read about the good views from this guesthouse but we didn't see this as I think they were doing work on the rooftop. When we checked in we weren't sure if breakfast was included or not and this was never confirmed either way, so we didn't eat here either. Overall really good value for money and we'd definitely stay again.

This place is the bomb. The house winds up and up and up providing some interesting stairways and multiple roofs to view the water and city from. The manager, Vicky, is one of the nicest hotel staff I've ever encountered and he's always around to make small talk, make you laugh, or show you how to work the washing machine. I thought I had lost some clothing and he ran around the house all night to find it. This has been said before, but ORDER THALI! The cook brings you more and more and more!

Udai Haveli is located in the most ideal place in Udaipur. Right around the corner from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area, but quiet enough to relax. The owners invited me in as part of the family, saying, "This is your home, too." The chai is delicious, and you're close to some of the best restaurants. The family works hard to keep Udai Haveli clean, and it shows.

Great hostel - stayed a couple of days here in the beutiful city. this has a great location right in the middle of town. Unfortunately I restaurant was closed when we stayed - but they did offer free breakfast (toast & coffee). Rooms were clean with fan and a top class roof terrace! Highly recommended.

The family that owns this guesthouse are awesome and wonderful. We arrived 6am because of a early flight, and he woke up and welcomed us with a smile. He let us rest up before offering us wonderful advice on what to do. Not only did he help us meet other travelers, he would give us fair quotes for prices to pay so rickshaw drivers couldn't cheat us. It extremely clean with good atmosphere. Beautiful view of sunset and lake on the roof. It's located right by the lake and palace.

Though we reached the place earlier than the check-in time, they gave us our rooms without making a fuss. We were so glad.

this was the best guest house I stayed in India. The family is very caring and want to make you feel as comfortable as possible. The rooms are very clean, it's in a perfect location, 2 min walk from the lake and the food was amazing too. It's great value for money and the owner of the place really wants you to make yourself at home.

For such a low price for the 3 person bedroom we couldnt have had better value for money. Cleanest hostel we've come across in 5 weeks in India. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Location is ideal for backpackers.

I will never be able to thank Udai Haveli enough for looking after me during my stay. By the time I got to Udaipur I was admitted to hospital with a serious infection. Viky was so concerned he actually came to hospital to give me some fruit juice and check how I was. We spent lots of time hanging out with him and the family. They:re so fun and so sweet. Rooms are great - centrally located, just perfect all round. You will not regret staying here.

Cheap and cheerful budget option in Udaipur. Great hot water shower. Well located for the lake and city palace, all within walking distance. Very friendly and helpful family running it, too - kind to me when I was ill. Free wifi.
