The wireless internet reception in the rooms upstairs can be improved. The entrance door should be locked after a certain hour during the night.

Staffs are really nice. Even become a friend with one of them. Close to the 3rd largest mall in Canada. Quite convenient.

We stayed here 7 days the staff are super nice, they only give you 1 roll of toilet paper? Which is weird, but not that bigger deal really.. reason given was someone once clogged the toilet with paper? Sure...! other than that the place is comphertable and clean. The front door is always unlocked and they have what seemed to be a live in Canadian older guy there. Very quiet and would only work out $100 a month cheaper than a room in an apartment in downtown Vancouver, reasonably priced though.

From my experience this is the best non-party hostel in Vancouver. I appreciated not paying for a starchy breakfast of dubious value (HI hostels). Its small capacity made it good for meeting fellow travellers. The hostel offered good facilities for the price. Being close to the skytrain removed any disadvantage which might follow from its location in suburban Burnaby. Excellent shopping at nearby Metrotown mall.
