Rooms were comfortable and air con was a godsend, but there didn't seem to be much going on/ many people staying there - but that may have just been due to it not being peak season? Staff were really friendly and helpful though and so I would definitely recommend as a good place to stay in the centre of Fort Cochin!

I stayed here for two nights and that was two nights too long. - No locks on dorm room doors - No water supply on numerous occasions - No hot water at all - Electricity cuts out regularly - Wifi signal weak and not constant - No food or drinks available (despite a menu stating otherwise) - Had to ask for a bed sheet and toilet roll - not replaced as standard - Staff will give information if you push for it, but they behave as if it's an inconvenience - Noisy construction work

One of the few europan style hostels I found in India. Great to meet new people, relax and chat to the great staff.

Brilliant atmosphere and character, friendly staff who were very helpful. Very clean and had beds changed and rooms cleaned whenever we asked, like an expensive hotel! Dorm beds were still very comfortable and air conditioning was brilliant. Wifi downstairs was an unexpected bonus but if I was to make one suggestion it would be to have a computer in the main area that guests could use for a small charge.

Again, enjoyed my stay at Vedanta. The owner knows what he's doing. Everything you need is at your fingertips. The location is great, two minutes from the waterfront/fishing nets. It's a backpacker's joint, too, not a guest hosue, so you will meet other travelers. This is always a plus in my book. India can get a little quiet if you are travelling solo. Check them out. you won't regret it!

This must be one of the best hostels in India! The staff is always on call literally 24 hours every day and they will help you get around with no hassle. I was booked in for two nights and ended up staying for a week there, that's how great they were! I got to meet some of the staff members families and they were truly kind and cheerful people who treated me with such kindness and showered me with lots of love. Binu, Sajaa and everyone there is truly awesome! Thank you for a lovely stay guys.

This hostel was amazing. We were only here for 2 nights, but we met tons of great people and the rooms were comfortable (great AC). The best thing was the hospitality - I left my camera in the dorm room, and called them an hour later once I had already left the city. I was going to be in Mumbai a few days later, so they express mailed my camera to their Mumbai office where I picked it up when I arrived (for no charge). Losing your camera is the worst feeling, and the managed it so well!

The staff were super friendly but the general cleanliness and security was very much lacking. However, it is budget and you get to share with some interesting people. Very well located.

Maybe expensive for a dorm, but it was just so great to find a place with a proper chillout/wifi area downstairs to meet people... Also beds were really comfortable, showers were warm, AC in the room repelled mosquitoes... Would stay here again...

Nice staff, helped me with booking the train. Good place to meet other travelers. Wifi wasn't working at second floor, it did on the groundfloor and 1th.

Aircondition did only produce warm air, we arrived late at night and did not complain, but they did not want to adjust the price the next day. Also I called one week ahead to extend the stay by one day and the lady on the phone confirmed. Once we arrived it was not possible and we had to search for another place. The bathroom was dirty and the room stuffy.

Need to pay more attention to cleaning. Toilets were repulsive and unacceptable by any international standards.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts good have been improved and water better value. But there are other places in Ft. Kochin to find good food. I was there over Christmas, and it would have been nice if the hostel had a Christmas tree set up to increase the festive atmosphere for travelers during the holiday season. Nevertheless, the rooms were clean. I appreciated the AC and free wi-fi. It was a great place to meet other solo travelers and make plans.
