Wombats Hostel Budapest is a really great hostel. We stayed there for two nights and where really surprised how big the room and the bathroom was. And everything was very clean. You have your own locker, which locks with the keycard. And in the room was a small table and 4 stools. The only bad thing was when in teh morning a very loud alarm started. Both mornings we were waked by this noise. But we don't know why.

This was the best hostel I've stay at yet. The breakfast isn't really worth it and you always have to reenter the password for the wifi. Apart from this small problems it was great. If ever I have the chance to stay at another wombats I will without consideration for other hostels.

This is hotel where someone crammed multiple beds into a room and called it hostel. It's a good location, middle of the city. They market themselves as a party hostel, but really all they are is a bar downstairs. No character. Staff was not involved with the experience and was unenthusiastic about being there. There are plenty of other places in Budapest, try one of them before coming here.

Excellent hostel in large former hotel with elevator. Best location possible, just a couple of blocks from the only place in town the 3 metro lines intersect and two blocks from the main street Andrassy. You can walk to most of the main tourist attractions. Also has female dorm. Highly recommend.

This is the hotel of hostels. Rooms are all well renovated. Bunk beds are a bit creaky but linens are clean and upkeep and cleaning is well above average. The all you can eat breakfast (additional 1000 HUF charge) is adequate and helps you get on about your day without having to find street food first thing. Depending on location, rooms can be noisy (outside noise) or pretty quiet. Lockers and door locks all work. Not much oldworld character, but the place to go for no worries.

Second time staying at a Wombats hostel, and again I was very impressed. The staff were really cool and incredibly nice, and my room was clean every day. Amenities were great, and the overall price to stay was very affordable. The location is also ideal for sightseeing and public transit. Highly recommend, and would definitely stay here again!

A massive hostel with a vibrant decor. Very clean, safe and secure. The rooms are spacious and well thought out with lights and power points at every bed, and a table with chairs in the room. Staff were helpful but didn't really go above and beyond. I definitely recommend this hostel :)

The bar gets lively around ten, lots of young people around, plenty of opportunity to have a good time.

We have been staying in Wombats for two days in a double room. It has been a really nice room, very clean and light. The hostel's staff was extremely friendly and helped us with all the questions we had. Breakie was good, too. The only annoying thing is all those people, who make their lunch with stuff from the breakfast buffet. In the short future this will increase the price as they are just "eating" too much.

This hostel was really nice. HUGE area with couches and seats. Good location and rooms were nice. Shower in the room kinda dumb because the whole floor gets flooded . Also staff were not very friendly. We had terrible room mates!! Bit not the hostels fault. Beds SUPER comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Great hostel in a really nice location, right in the Jewish Quarter close to a lot of bars including the Ruin Bars. Large facility, clean and big rooms, great reception and a nice bar! All in all great value for the money and made our stay in Budapest great!

Hostel was very clean, location is fantastic and facilities & service were great, but due to the capacity it can be quite noisy, so if you are looking for a quite place to stay (like as a couple for example) I would avoid it. Otherwise it is a perfect place.

At first, It's a good hostel for sure. But, and as always a but exist: => Even if you have the feeling that it's clean, you had some problems: they forget to put new linen for a new guest in our room, forget to clean the bathroom, ... => At the reception they have the syndrome of "I said that so much time, so I say it like a record". The staff is also not so nice, some was even a bite rude. My point here is just that we had the feeling of a great hostel but going on the wrong way.

Wombats was a great choice! Extremely clean rooms, each with its own bathroom and shower. Located right in the middle of the Pest side with good restaurants and bars nearby. The staff are helpful with answering questions and planning activities during your stay.
