We have been staying in Wombats for two days in a double room. It has been a really nice room, very clean and light. The hostel's staff was extremely friendly and helped us with all the questions we had. Breakie was good, too. The only annoying thing is all those people, who make their lunch with stuff from the breakfast buffet. In the short future this will increase the price as they are just "eating" too much.

This hostel was really nice. HUGE area with couches and seats. Good location and rooms were nice. Shower in the room kinda dumb because the whole floor gets flooded . Also staff were not very friendly. We had terrible room mates!! Bit not the hostels fault. Beds SUPER comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Great hostel in a really nice location, right in the Jewish Quarter close to a lot of bars including the Ruin Bars. Large facility, clean and big rooms, great reception and a nice bar! All in all great value for the money and made our stay in Budapest great!

Hostel was very clean, location is fantastic and facilities & service were great, but due to the capacity it can be quite noisy, so if you are looking for a quite place to stay (like as a couple for example) I would avoid it. Otherwise it is a perfect place.

At first, It's a good hostel for sure. But, and as always a but exist: => Even if you have the feeling that it's clean, you had some problems: they forget to put new linen for a new guest in our room, forget to clean the bathroom, ... => At the reception they have the syndrome of "I said that so much time, so I say it like a record". The staff is also not so nice, some was even a bite rude. My point here is just that we had the feeling of a great hostel but going on the wrong way.

Wombats was a great choice! Extremely clean rooms, each with its own bathroom and shower. Located right in the middle of the Pest side with good restaurants and bars nearby. The staff are helpful with answering questions and planning activities during your stay.

The Wombats is the best and most amazing hostel in the world. The hostel was more animated, cute, fun, clean, safe and caring I have ever stayed in my life. I wish you had one Wombats in all the cities that I was traveling.

Excellent hostel. Friendly, helpfull staff and walking distance of all the sights in town. Great location near to bars and restaurants yet still nice and quiet when you want to get your head down to sleep. Big rooms, comfy nights sleep. Fully recommended. And try Gellert spa - that is awsome.

Some of the staff seemed bothered by our questions as if it was obvious and that we should've known!!

We asked a few questions at the front desk and they were incredibly rude and unhelpful... The bartenders were also incredibly rude! Our random roommate was out looking for local hookers all night and all around we met the strangest people staying at the hostel. Budapest was awesome but this hostel did not impress me unfortunately but it had an awesome layout. I felt pretty uncomfortable throughout my stay. The front desk recommended a cheap and yummy restaurant that actually was pricey and gross

The staff were really nice and the rooms were spacious and the beds soooo comfortable. My only suggestion would be to clean the bathrooms of the rooms with ensuites a little better. Kitchen was well equipped and it was really awesome that we could drink our own drinks in the common area. The bar, i have to say was one of the worst hostel bars ever! The drinks just weren't value for money, selection was terrible and everything measured precisely in half shots.. buy your own :)
