Awesome hostel. I would defiantly stay again!

Breakfast was not much varied (no sweet product such as croissants or cookies or cakes and pies). Pls note some years ago I stayed i n Vienna Wombats - The Base - and breakfast was great!. No tray for breakfast. Staff was very kind. We would like to thank especially Kat for her kindness, patience, advices and very useful information. No chair or table or luggage rack in the room.

Prachtig, groot en schoon hostel. Wij hadden een tweepersoonskamer met badkamer. Elke dag werd er schoongemaakt. Het is alleen wat rumoerig op de gang, maar wij waren erg tevreden!

Spacious room with very comfortable beds. The shower and toilet were very clean. Friendly staff and always willing to help you. Furthermore good location, everything is around you for a great trip in Budapest.

what else can I say about this hostel... every time I go to a new city in Europe I first check whether there's already any Wombats over there xD

I was only for two nights but the hostel was an amazing surprise. It has a good location, it is well organized and the staff were friendly and very helpful. After the check-in you are welcomed with a free drink. The rooms are big enough and they also have a locker to put your stuff in a safety place. In addition, there is a kitchen with free pasta and bread and a fridge where you can put whatever you want. However, there is a bad internet signal and you have to pay to use the computer!

BEAUTYFUL BUDAPEST

in the kitchen serves a person who monitors who does not keep in order and do not wash the dishes and at night make sure that people do not bother to return to their room! if you can check more 'guests in the cleaning and behavior would be okay!

Absolutely loved it! Amazing place, atmosphere and staff. Definitely worth the money and even more.

This place was incredible. It felt like staying in a 5-star hotel, which makes sense because it used to be one! The room was clean and beautiful and the staff was great. When I checked in, the guy at the front desk gave me a handful of free drink coupons just because we had the same birthday! I couldn't say enough good things about this place. If you are traveling to Budapest, you MUST stay here!

In theory Wombats should be incredible. It has every little thing that I look for in a hostel: great kitchen, bar, it's super clean, the location is amazing and even has all the little things like a socket, light and shelf for each bed. However it has been scaled up to such a size that it's no longer really recognisable as a hostel but more of a youth hotel; you don't end up randomly chatting to every person and the staff always seemed rushed off their feet.

One of the cleanest hostels I have ever seen. Have no idea how this place makes any money being this clean, but man they do a good job. Security is fantastic, lockers are locked using a personalized key card that lets you into the hostel/your floor/your room. Very cheap considering the brilliant facilities. Located near some of Budapest's best ruin bars, and quite close to some of the bigger site seeing attractions like the parliament or castle. While not exactly a party place, it's still great

Brilliant location and the staff were very helpful.

Hostel is clean, breakfast is excelent, i felt secure... Atmosphere is probably not that good because of the size of hostel. But if i compere it to other large hostels, it is the best of them. Staff could be more educated about Budapest. For example, they didnt know when the postoffice is opend... And the last thing, it should be possible to pay in euros.

Really great Hostel!! It seams like a 3 stars hotel. Very clean, great location (near the subway and in the center), great breakfast. Really recommend!!
