Right on buzzing Király Street, Wombat’s City Hostel Budapest is the city’s biggest and most-loved hostel. Set in a beautifully restored 19th-century building (and a former four-star hotel!), it combines historic charm with modern comfort and a famously social vibe.

Choose between spacious private rooms or clean, comfy dorms (including female-only). Every room has an en-suite bathroom and air con. All dorm beds are equipped with personal curtains and individual fans for extra comfort and privacy. every thing was cool one thing that there are no activities on the hostel with the whole the amazing facilities that they have try to create events and some activities will back for sure

Hostel is in a great location and near to the bus stop where the airport transfer arrives. The 24 hr reception is also convenient for those arriving on late night flights. However, my 8-bed room has 3 bunks and two single beds, which are both in the open with no privacy unlike the bunks with have curtains. The bathroom was ok, however there were no bathmats meaning the floor was often covered in water by people who couldn't leave the place as they found it. Could also have used a fan in there.

We like the very central location of Wombats City Hostel Budapest, just a block from Andrassy utca and five minutes from a metro station serving three lines going to Buda, the airport stop and the three main train stations. This friendly, clean hostel opened in 2012 in a former hotel. It features spacious ensuite rooms with free air conditioning, and a budget-friendly all-you-can-eat breakfast with yoghurt, fruit and good bread.
