This is the best chain of big hostels. I have already stayed in Wombats Berlin, Vienna and Prague to my great satisfaction. Maybe the budapest one is the best one because it used to be a four star hotel, so you have a lot of space. Moreover, at 1000 forint ( 3,4 euros) the all you can eat breakfast is a real bargain. The staff is very efficient and friendly and service oriented. Stay there.

In all reality, really loved it. A great experience. Easy to find from the airport, the vibe was young and hip and lots of fun. I felt safe and clean, really helped me enjoy my time in Budapest.

The hostel is very nice and friendly with a good location but it is quite expensive and you have to pay extra for the breakfast.

One of the best hostels I've been to. They've got big rooms with own bathroom and big beds. Very clean. There is big "hang out" area at the hall, where you can eat, drink beer at pub, watch football on big screen or just seat and relax. There is also kitchen where you can cook and laundry room. Basically, everything you need from hostel. Definitely recommend.

I have seen many hostels in my life, but this one simply beats them all !!! Staff, atmosphere, facilities, you name it. Go there, you won't regret it!

As a group of mid twenties we had a great time at the Wombats because we had a very substantial amount of space in the rooms and we were not disturbed by any noise from other guests. In addition we found the rooms very clean, the beds very comfortable and the bathroom facilities excellent. The hostel really benefits from its great location, within walking distance of so many great restaurants and bars as well as historic sights. The price is also right.

Its a excellent location, very clean, well maintained, the staff were very friendly. only downside is Internet, its impossible to get connection. Tips for solo traveller's. If you are travelling alone and want to meet people to socialize, its not the best place to stay, because most of the inmates travel in groups and also most of them are from school trips etc. so if you are 23 and above i would say this hostel is not for you :) if you are only looking for a nice place to stay then its perfect.

The only thing was that the shower in the bathroom wasn't enclosed so water got everywhere. But apart from that I adored the hostel, want to go back.

Really nice hostel, the only big negative thing was the noice from other guests. They was screaming, banging on doors and loud music all night long. Just no respect for other guests.

Absolutely loved this hostel! Amazing location and service. Only complaint is that there is no wifi in the rooms, but it makes you socialize more in the lobby.

I love Wombats hostel chain. Wombats budapest is the 3rd wombats I´ve stayed in and I always enjoy my stay! This particular wombats is huge! Lockers in the room which are very secure, great breakfast and comfortable beds. There wasn´t any soap provided in the bathroom to wash hands which I thought was kind of gross but other than that, a perfect stay! And as always, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I love Wombats!!!

The hostel is very nice, as other Wombats. However, it has too many people staying, thus the staff were very busy to serve and the Wifi didn't work very good.

We were only there for one night, but thoroughly enjoyed it. Great atmosphere with clean, nice (and beautiful!) facilities - all right in the center of Budapest!

Nice hostel in the middle of town. All cafes and things are on walking distance. Friendly staff and a funny bar with cheap drinks!

Budapest is a wonderful city, probably all visitors never won't forget the time passed there. This Hostel is very nice, close to main places, clean and safe. It's a franchising, so we won't find human warmth (if you understand what I mean). I did not like the two blond girls of reception, they were always angry and talking unwilling, on the other hand the others are very friendly.

Very centrally located, within walking distance of many sights and cafes/restaurants and easy access to all public transport. Room was clean and spacious, also really enjoyed the style in the reception/bar area! Hostel staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all a really nice stay and would definitely book a room here again!
