Good clean hostel. Felt safe leaving my possessions around my room or in personal locker. Left my 2nd passport n most of my money in a safe behind the desk for two days for free. Speak great English n good knowledge of the city. Serena gave me additional days stay for the same cheap price I had gotten via the Internet.

I really didn't enjoy my stay here. The main reason I had booked was for the free pickup from the train station, but then they said they only do pick ups in the mornings and so couldn't pick me up at night. I then got the WORST directions from the staff and had to find it on my own. I booked a Terracotta warrirors tour and they forgot to organise it so put me with a more expensive tour at the last minute which cost me more money. The dorms/beds are also not very nice. Bar is Ok though

This is a nice hotel nearby the South gate. Nice food and really friendly staff. The big problem in this hostel is that you can smoke inside. We had a room on the 2nd floor and it smelled like smoke all the time, especially at night. That was reall disgusting! Our bed was really bad, way to soft. The bathroom was old.

I really like the lady who worked at April 6th night, spoke English so fluently and talked to me in Japanese! Her attitude toward guests was the best I've ever seen Chinese workers in hostels.

Airport transfer is late, we need to walk around finding driver who come to pick us up for more than 20mins. Once checking ther is no inform about room type that we meant to stay and had been booked requiring for a twin room with extra bed or a triple room for 3people but instead offering us a family room as higher rate than we are expected. Also with many misstake for total room rate calculation, making us so confused. Cannot breath in room with smell of cigar up from floor

I was looking for a nice hostel to take my mum to where we could get a nice private room. This place didn't disappoint. The room was spotless, there were large social areas with heaps of character and the food menu was reasonably priced and varied. The location was brilliant too.

The room is clean and quiet. I have to leave early in the next morning, cause there are noisy guests waiting outside my dorm for my bed. But it was 8 am.

The staff was very helpful, and the free pickup from the train station was great. The facilities were very nice, with a very comfortable bar area and lobby. The problem was that the prices were very high for drinks and food, and the atmosphere was a bit geared towards groups keeping to themselves. Those negatives aside, it was a great value and comfortable stay.

Really enjoyed staying here - the hostel is beautiful with lots of character. Xi'an is a small enough city to walk from one end to another (North gate to South) and the location is excellent, near a local bar and nightclubs. The staff are friendly although sometimes lost in translation - but to be expected in China. Excellent value for money - would definitely recommend. Lockers in rooms provided free of charge.

The hostel has lots of character, tastefully decorated to give a feel of ancient China. There is a unique kind of pleasant ambience one feels, the minute he/she enters the big main door despite being just a short walk from the bus stop at the South Gate. Nearby are eateries, small grocery stores and shops that gives it a neighborhood appeal. Yet, the hostel is within the walled city and all the good sites are within walking distance. Moreover, the staff were very friendly, cheerful & helpful!
