This is one of the nicest places we stayed in China! The rooms were really well decorated and it made our hostel experience feel like a romantic hotel! The staff were really friendly and helpful and dont put the hard sell on you for tours. Coffee was great (nice treat!) and the place is so central you can walk everywhere!

Beautiful, centrally located hostel with very helpful staff, nice bar/restaurant area and comfortable rooms (my bathroom was bigger than my one at home, and the shower was hot with good pressure). Bonus free coffee or beer on check in (to be redeemed between 12 noon and 6pm). The prices were a little high on the food and drinks menu, but there's plenty available in the immediate area.

This was a very nice hostel and good value for money. The service was good also and the people were very nice. The only problem was the food- it was quite expensive and when we ordered breakfast the bread came soggy from plates that weren't dried and when we ordered a 'cheeseburger' it came without cheese or a burger. There were many other places to eat around the hostel though so this wasn't too much of a problem.

Beautiful building and very helpful staff. A little noisy in the common-room section.

My second time at this hostel and i certainly recommend it. Great bar and great atmosphere, lots of sitting space downstairs, nice staff and good location. The place itself is uniquely decorated and so are the rooms. downside is that the dorm area of the hostel is very noisy, and at least in the single bed room the mattress is very thin and hard, which isn't comfortable. Other then that its a lovely place to stay in.

Hostel looks very authentic and you feel like you're in an old charming Chinese house. Location & Staff is great. We didn't have a real window as it opened into the central communal area and people could see us lying on the bed. It got a little warm but we couldn't turn on the A/C as the remote control was lacking. Breakfast is expensive but good. Wifi is ok, not great.

I had a great stay. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I've already recommended this place to a friend. Booked my tour for the warriors through them and the guide was full of info and spoke great English.

Everything was really good. Staff is very nice altough there were one guy who wanted us to buy the Terracota Warriors Tours with them, by telling us that it was not safe to go by ourselves, which is not true.

The staff at reception were extremely helpful and nice. My brother and I were trying to leave xian over Chinese New Year to visit Shanghai, which became an impossible task as flights and trains were heavily booked. The staff managed to book a flight for us to Beijing, without their help we would have been stuck in xian for an extra two days, ruining our itinerary! A big thankyou

My overall stay was great. The bedroom was clean, however, if there are guests still sleeping or are in the room, the maids should wait until they leave to give them privacy. I do not agree with the 35 kuai deposit just to rent a towel. The atmosphere at the bar was very fun and allowed us to meet others, I also enjoyed the dumpling party. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone who is planning on visiting Xi'an. I would also recommend taking a tour through the hostel.

The central common area was really nice and had lots of character but smoking is permitted inside, since we are non smokers this was really off putting! The staff tried to be helpful but didnt really seem To know what they were doing. We asked to buy a ticket for the tang dynasty show, which they were going to sell us but later when we walked past the theatre to check it out they told us there were no shows on during the next few days!I don't think it was dishonest, they just misunderstood

We had a fabulous stay here. The staff were great, the building delightful, and the location perfect for exploring Xian. My only adverse comment concerns one of the tours they promote. We took the Terracotta Warriors tour and were not impressed. We didnt have nearly enough time looking at the Warriors themselves; we were taken to a factory outlet shop for replicas which ate into the day hugely, and the tour guide didn't do much guiding. Other visitors with us that day all agreed. Poor value.

It is a great place to meet people. They make your bed daily which is uncommon in a hostel and they give you more commodities than normal. The free pick up is great, even if it is just a bus ride.

We found that the tours offered by the hostel were well overpriced for the venues offered. We understand that a private car can be expensive but when the price offered is over double what we paid by ourselves it's very noticeable.

Great character and atmosphere. Staff was helpful and accommodating. Easy access to the Muslim Quarter, the Drum Tower, and Bar Street. Met some great people and had a great time. Would definitely stay there again.
