hmm, hostel is okay but we did our usual; book for 2 nights, see how it is and stay longer if we like it. we didn't. leaks in the bathroom, no towels available for us til the next day, loud noise outside til very late at night, asian style toilets (sorry to sound fussy but i like a western toilet in my hostel at certain times!) and staff who laughed at us when we inquired about getting to Hanoi all prompted us to upgrade to something a bit nicer around the corner...hmm, hostel is okay but we did our usual; book for 2 nights, see how it is and stay longer if we like it. we didn't. leaks in the bathroom, no towels available for us til the next day, loud noise outside til very late at night, asian style toilets (sorry to sound fussy but i like a western toilet in my hostel at certain times!) and staff who laughed at us when we inquired about getting to Hanoi all prompted us to upgrade to something a bit nicer around the corner......Close

This hostel was my favourite in China! The staff are FANTASTIC! The really go out of their way to make you feel completely at home. Free toilet paper, coffee, internet. Great lounges. And as you can all agree... staff make your stay at a hostel! I booked in for 2 nights, but ended up staying a full week! This hostel was my favourite in China! The staff are FANTASTIC! Had some difficulty finding the hostel- better directions are essential. The rooftop restraunt did not exist which was disappointing. Wifi did not work anywhere. Our room was really smelly and the chinese toilet did not help. Good location in centre of town but not much vibe to the place.Had some difficulty finding the hostel- better directions are essential. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is easy once you find it. Be warned, there are no western toilets, but they are very clean, so it's not bad. I love it here. The girls are very, very nice and helpful. They throw in free towel and free tissue as well as free coffee before 12.00. The room (I got dorm) is big and clean. I wish they have western toilet but that is not a big problem. The common room is a nice place to talk with other travellers. Totally recommended.I love it here.
