The UNESCO-listed Corfu Town is lively all year round. Its atmospheric narrow streets wind between the Old Fort and port, lined with pastel-coloured Venetian buildings. If you're planning to party, go to Kavos – this is the main spot for the 18-30 crowd, with plenty of nightclubs and karaoke bars. According to legend, if you swim the entire length, you'll find the love of your life. The Old Fortress of Corfu is the place to go to learn about the island's history and to watch live music during the summer. Hiking to the top of Mount Pantokrator will give you views across the whole island, and you can even see Albania on a clear day.
