JamboHouse Lamu is a small budget guesthouse in Lamu Town. We have 5 double rooms, all with private bathroom. Three rooms are self-contained and two rooms have external bathroom (not shared, only for that room). All our rooms have mosquito net, ceiling fan, an additional fan (tower fan or stand fan), bedside lamp. JamboHouse Lamu is ideally located to explore Lamu Old Town. It’s just a three minute walk through narrow lanes to Town Square with Lamu Fort. From our Top Roof you have a good view of Lamu Town, the inland part and sunrise. We are not a 5 star resort but we offer clean rooms with fair rates. Our Standard Rate is without breakfast, our Bed & Breakfast Rate includes breakfast. For all guests we have free wifi internet and free coffee/tea from around 10 am till evening.. We give our guests a map of Lamu and plenty of useful information (museums, restaurants, suggestions how to spend your time in Lamu). We can organize a lot of activities like boat trips, walking tours (with or without guide), kayak, massages, henna painting, Swahili Cooking classes,... We wait for our guests at Manda Airport.

On arrival we serve you a welcome drink on our rooftop terrace where you could enjoy a nice view of Lamu Town. We also give you a map of Lamu Town and lots of information. In the morning we also serve there our delicious breakfast (fresh juice, fruits, a choice of eggs/omelette/pancake/French Toast, toast or cornflakes with fruits, jam, and coffee/tea) for guests who booked our Bed & Breakfast Rate. During the day we provide free coffee/tea on our rooftop terrace. We also have free wifi internet for our guests. We are ideally located to explore the Old Town of Lamu. We are located just 3 minutes from Town Square (with Lamu Fort) which you reach in a short walk through small lanes. Restaurants, small shops, banks (with international ATM), internet cafs are all reachable within a short walking distance. To get to famous Shela Beach you could either walk along the shore (approximately 45 min or you could take a boat (20 min). Lamu Island is a fascinating small island where donkeys are the main mean of transport. On Lamu Island you find a quiet and peaceful atmosphere with friendly people, a fascinating culture, beautiful deserted beaches, good snorkeling, great sunsets We help you to arrange dhow trips, donkey rides, guides for visiting the Old Town, bush walking, give you information about real local restaurants.
