Hostal Numancia is located in Madrid old quarters, at the heart of the historic part of the city, just a step from Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. The Hostal is also within easy walking distance of the main museums in Madrid such as the Prado Art Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and the Reina Sofia Contemporary Art Museum. Hostal Numancia has rooms, clean and comfortable, with sink/wash-basin and heat. The bathrooms are shared. We have a left-luggage service. There are several public car parks near the Hostal so that parking in Madrid will not be a problem.

There were bed bug larvas under the mattress, and bed bug poop along the edges of the bed! Got bit within 5 minutes of checking the bed. Owner made up the bed right away and did not clean up!

Buena ubicacion, zona segura y cerca del metro. Cuarto y baños con buena limpieza, el personal no es para nada amable. Un detalle a tomar en cuenta es que para verano el calor es muy fuerte y los cuartos no tienen aire acondicionado.

The man spoke no English which we knew from other reviews but he was also not at all helpful. He wouldn't let us in so we had to wait for someone else to leave the building to get in and just yelled at us in spanish and then put the phone down. There was so fridge or microwave like stated on hostelworld so our food went off and we couldn't cook the food we had bought and had to go out to eat. Some of the bedding in the room was ripped and the fan was old and very loud. The place was very dingy.
