Staff were generally unhappy or not willing to engage. There seemed to be no kitchen facilities to make any food. Cheep to stay but costed more due to having to eat out.

Ended up leaving early and finding an apartment for not that much more money. The good - nice location, lots of social events, pods have a lot of space and hot showers. The bad - literally everything broke, the lift, the coffee machine, the air con and only one poor lady on reception was making an effort to try and resolve it. Had to move rooms twice which seemed crazy. V dirty despite mentioning specific cleaning issues to staff, just never got picked up on. Boiled eggs, toenails… I got out

I had a great time at drifters. Everyone there was friendly and there were events each night where you could talk and do games/karaoke with other backpackers. The rooms were clean and en-suite bathrooms were clean. There were lockers by the front desk where you could leave your things if you arrive before check in which was convenient. It was close to a ton of places in the CBD and everything was easily accessible by walking or taking the tram!
