I stayed in this hostel for a week in Melbourne! The in suite bathrooms were nice, and the rooms themselves were nice with adequate storage but there needed to be more common area facilities. Kitchen was sometimes crowded but fine. Social events every night were loud downstairs, but from the upper floors you couldn’t hear anything which was nice. You need a smart phone key for the main door and rooms. Had to pay extra to store bags for the day. Very loud construction noise during the day too.

Overall, the hostel was nice, but they closed the kitchen overnight, without giving us a place to leave food or prepare it, and this created several problems. Renovation work is ongoing, starting at 8 a.m. or earlier. Our request for a discount or compensation for the inconvenience was denied, saying they weren't willing to do so. In conclusion, for me, $60 a night for no kitchen, peace of mind, and having to throw away food because there was no refrigerator is too much.

Absolutely loved this hostel, great staff, the room was clean and the bed very comfortable.I stayed there shortly but I would definitely recommend for longer stays too .
