When I arrived, there was no one at the reception and I couldn’t get into the hostel. While the staff came eventually, it wad an uncomfortable and stressful first experience. Not one of the workers can speak English and will belittle you for not understanding them. While the room was clean, the bedsheets didn’t fit properly and rolled away easily. Also there is mold in the shower. The only thing I appreciated was the locatio, which is directly in the city center. Overall not a good experience.

Rooms, formerly Music, hostel is well located off Piotrkowska Street in the centre of Łódź, and it is very affordable. The hostel itself is not well signposted. It’s fine everything works: guest kitchen, wi-fi etc. But there are some downsides- staff are mostly absent, my bed was hard with a thin mattress, the storage cupboards are not really that secure (although I did not have a problem) and presently it’s next to a construction site. It lacks atmosphere, so do not come expecting a party.
