Yuyan Youth Hostel

Great hostel in an ideal spot in Beijing. Beds were clean and the room had great AC Big common area for eating and relaxing, small kitchen with a hot water tap and hob etc. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they are on the desk 24 hours Great amount of toilets and loads of showers. Showers are a bit small so only bring in essentials (1 hook, small room). Laundry is super cheap as well The common area can smell a bit smoky at times so hopefully they close the smoking room

I’m sorry but this just isn’t a good hostel. Showers are horrible, dirty and you have 1 hook. They smell like pi*s and feel like they don’t get cleaned properly. The dorms are crammed and the beds are extremely narrow. They don’t give you a towel. They also don’t have any refill points for drinking water. It’s also not social at all and the common area smells like smoke all the time because they have decided to put a smoking room indoors. Really did not rate at all. My least favourite in China.

The Hostel was really clean and the facilities were in a good state. The toilets were a bit dirty sometimes but overall it was clean. The kitchen wasn’t a real kitchen. It was a small fridge and hot water. The staff was super friendly!!
