Most of the things in the facility were fine except the bathroom and shower stall situation. They were tiny, rudimentary and rather filthy. Most of the beds do not have plugs or lights.

I really enjoyed my stay here but just know there is a really steep walk up a hill to the hostel and i had to do that Everytime which was rather annoying. This hostel has a partner hostel known as the lake como hostel and they would send us there for breakfast and dinner so i would recommend staying there instead as it looked more lively and much closer to menaggio town. The rooms were very large and spacious and has a good storage for luggage but my bathroom has many flys and bugs inside.

My only issue was that the Santangelo Hostel was a bit hard to find. Don’t make the same mistake as me and follow the listings instructions completely. Do not try to go straight to the hostel if you are staying at Santangelo. Instead go to “Lake Como Hostel La Primula” on Google Maps. From there the staff will assist you with the rest of the steps. Besides that minor setback the hostel was great with extremely nice staff and very clean!
