Nopalero Hostel

Very nice hostel with the sweetest staff. Especially Julio and Aaron are very welcoming with the guests and always ready to help. The hostel is so cozy and it has a nice atmosphere. It’s not a wild party hostel but they have fun activities everyday and a bar, so there is always someone to go to party with if that’s what you want. It’s a 20 min walk to the beach but they also offer cheap scooters and they have a really nice pool. I would recommend go here for sure if you visit Puerto Escondido.

This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. I’ve been to a lot of different hostels around the world, but this one takes the price. The atmosphere was super nice and chill in the day but then at night the place comes alive. The staff is super nice, chatty and friendly, so you are never afraid to ask for advise or directions. The hostel does different activities every day which is a great opportunity to meet new people and see the city from a local point of view taking you to the best bars!

Very friendly welcome form a female volunteer who was behaving like Brits. Professional and open-minded. To my surprise she was French, not German. The Canadian male volunteer was kind as well. However there was a group of French staying there. I left France and a job that was generating +10 thousand euros a month to be far from French closed culture and suspicious French people. This group attitude at the hostel reminded me of why I left.
