How to find us

Please instruct your taxi to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park West Gate — I'll come and pick you up there. I'll message or email you ahead of time to confirm; if you have WeChat, that's even better.

Alternatively, give your driver our address below and ask to be dropped at the gate. Our homestay is a short walk from there.

Staying just inside the gate is a real benefit for our guests - no queuing to enter or exit the mountain gates every day.

I can personally provide discounted park and cable car tickets, with free tour itineraries in English and Chinese to help you plan your trip. And after a day of exploring the mountains and waters, you can unwind in the courtyard with singing, dancing, or a game of mahjong - with a babbling brook right outside our door!

Staying with us lets you truly experience the local customs and way of life, savor authentic regional delicacies, and enjoy some of the area's famous teas. Our guesthouse comes with a lovely little courtyard complete with a swimming pool, and we offer unique rooms all equipped with WiFi, television and AC.
Our homestay includes a kitchen, where we will prepare breakfast and additional meals at your request, made with pesticide-free vegetables straight from our own garden, and you're welcome to come pick your own too!

If you're planning a vacation in Zhangjiajie but aren't sure where to start, choose Xiangzixi Guesthouse as we'll guide you every step of the way, ensuring you eat well, play hard, and sleep comfortably.

Nearby attractions include the Zhangjiajie mountains, avatar mountains, Yangjiajie, Tianzishan, Huangshizhai, Jinbianxi, and Tianmen mountains, all must-see attractions - easily accessible by various cable cars and hiking paths.

Had the best stay with Lihong and her family. They were so kind and welcoming and always went above and beyond. On two occasions they drove me an hour just to make my stay more comfortable and easy. The food was amazing and a really good portion size. No request was too big, I asked if I could learn to cook the dishes and her husband happily showed me. The room was really nice and bed was comfy. I would 100% recommend this as a place to stay as it is so peaceful and in such a great location.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here with Lihong and her family. We will treasure this experience forever! They were exceptionally kind, made delicious food (for a fair price), helped us to book our tickets and plan our hikes (from the quiet West Gate), and upgraded our room for free. Lihong even played us some music on her traditional Chinese instrument which was very special. And she helped us to organise onward travel to the train. The puppy was a bonus too! We would 10/10 recommend ❤️

It was great! The property is within the west side which is less crowded and easier to access the (imo) better spots in the national park. The shuttle bus also can drop/pick you up directly from the homestay! The owner was SO lovely and he helped me so much on how to get around/what to see and the food he cooked was DELICIOUS and well priced. The property was gorgeous and clean and I think they gave me a better room than I booked which was SO nice of him! Lots of amenities!! Would 100% stay agai
