Guest House Pongyi

Our small traditional Japanese house was once a kimono store and is over
150 years old. Only 10 min. from Kanazawa Station on foot. Pongyi is
suitable for those who are willing to enjoy the experience of staying in
an ordinary old Japanese house and daily life in Japan

The dormitories (shared rooms) are in the Kura (traditional kimono
storehouse).

and a coverlet.
4. Communal lavatory and hot shower. (Shampoo, Rinse and Body soap. free
of charge)

6. Laundry machine (500yen per use. Clothesline drying)
7. Microwave oven
8. Towel rental (200yen.)
9. Hair dryer for rent (free of charge).
10. Yukata (Japanese style night clothes) for rent. (200yen)

Your reservation will be cancelled after 20:00.

Important: We are CLOSED from 12:00 to 15:00.
Luggage cannot be received during this time.

■ Check-out: by 10:00

■ Luggage Storage

Luggage storage before check-in: 8:00–12:00
Please contact us by the previous day. We are closed from 12:00–15:00.

After check-out: Available until 12:00 (noon) on the same day.

【About Pongyi】

・Only 3 rooms / up to 10 guests in total
・Shared toilets and showers (1 each / women can use both)
・Dormitory entrances have curtains instead of doors
・Old wooden structure — sounds carry easily
・Please respect quiet hours. The common area lights are turned off at 23:00.

・Dormitory rooms are shared rooms, so you may hear living sounds or snoring.
If you are sensitive to noise, need special consideration for sleep, or know that you snore loudly, we recommend that you do not use the dormitory.
Earplugs are available.

■ Minimum Age for Dormitory and Private Rooms
Dormitory (shared room) accommodation is available for guests aged 12 and older,
and Japanese-style private rooms are available for guests aged 6 and older.

■ Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel, please contact us up to 4 days before arrival date.
If you cancel after that, we will charge you 100% as cancellation fee.


■ Accommodation Tax
According to Kanazawa city regulations, a 200 yen accommodation tax will be charged for each guest per night for stays costing 5,000 yen or more.
Please pay the tax in cash upon check-in.
※ The displayed rates do not include the accommodation tax.

■ Donation
100 yen donation to aid children in Asia is included in the price.
