Welcome to Step Inn, the hostel that feels less like a hotel and more like crashing at your best friend’s house—if your best friend lived in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, had a kitchen stocked for midnight noodle experiments, and threw PlayStation tournaments in the living room.

Run by fellow backpackers, Step Inn is all about the sleepover chaos: board games that ruin friendships in the best way, cozy beds to recover from your defeats, and the cheapest beer in town to keep the laughter flowing.

We’re strategically located near Chinatown, KL’s historic spots, food street, and public transport—so you can explore the city by day and come home to chaos by night. This place is great. The staff is amazing, and the chill-zone is a little paradise. The building is kinda worn down, but it’s not a problem. My only real issue here is that there are no power outlet by the bed.

Being a social type, I found it very difficult to connect with the staff of the place, except for four people there, the guy from housekeeping, Gustavo in reception, Cenk and Rookie. The staff there (volunteers) don't make me feel like a customer, I ask for only 4 simple stuff, among them a hanger and a bucket, the answer was a decisive not. it's ok, maybe they haven't, but cmon, you can say: "sorry, we haven't". Guests 10/10, hospitality 4/10

I had a great experience staying at this hostel. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything you need. They really make you feel at home. The hostel also offers free tours, which are a great way to explore the city and meet other travelers. On top of that, the location is perfect, with many of Kuala Lumpur’s main attractions within easy reach. I would definitely recommend staying here!
