HI Point Montara Lighthouse Hostel

We love this place and its been several years since we were here. The hosts are always friendly and welcoming. My feedback would be that the grounds need a little attention is all I would say. The path going down to the beach is overgrown and the buildings are beginning to show age for sure. Several delapidated cars up top overgrown with weeds when you first come in and tarps and debris outside the (house?) up top as well. Could use a little clean up for appearance sake.

Excellent location with beautiful ocean views from the patio, dining room, and even the guest rooms. The rooms are clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. I stayed in the private three-bed room, which felt like a charming little cabin by the sea. My favorite part was sleeping with the window open, listening to the sound of the waves, and breathing in the fresh salt air—it was peaceful and restorative mid-week. Gorgeous sunsets and private beach are also huge pluses.

Great location for solitude and relaxation.
