Hostal Colombian Gold welcomes you to San Gil, tourist capital of Santander and national capital of extreme sports in Colombia. We are located in the historic centre just two blocks from the main park La Libertad, where you will find the giant seibas with their famous beards that are emblematic of the nature of the region and the cathedral built in stone in the seventeenth century, the largest shopping centre in San Gil; From the reception we contact you with the best extreme sports companies.

Very close just one street away from the hostel, you will find the market house where you can buy all kinds of fruits and vegetables to prepare your food in our kitchen which is at the service of travelers, fully equipped, in the same way we offer the service of paid breakfast, American or vegetarian type that you can enjoy in our central patio which has tables for your comfort and the best umbrellas that decorate the interior of the house; where you will enjoy a pleasant atmosphere with the best music so you can also enjoy a cold beer or an excellent coffee and a hammock for relaxation. Also two streets away you will find the terminalito, where the buses leave for the nearby towns such as Barichara, Guane, Curití among others and the great Caño del Chicamocha.

Colombian Gold has double and family rooms equipped with double beds, single beds, bunk beds, private and shared bathroom with hot shower, Smart TV, Netflix, fan, free Wi-Fi throughout the hostel and a delicious cup of coffee every morning. For us it is very important to offer a good quality service, delivering the best and above all with all the love from our part to make you feel in a good hostel, but as if you were at home to live the best experiences.

El hostal se encuentra en un lugar estrategico cerca de el terminalito, el parque central y el parque el gallineral. La atencion por parte de los dueños es excelente, son personas muy amables, nos ayudaron con todas las reservas a las actividades que queriamos realizar, a conseguir taxi y con todas las dudas que teniamos acerca del transporte y recomendaciones de las actividades. Muy recomendados, seguro que volveremos.

Stayed here for a few days, using San Gil as a base for hiking Chicamocha Canyon. The two hosts I stayed with were very kind to me. My room was cheap, comfortable and had a lot of space in the lockers. It was nice having a kitchen available too. Would happily recommend

The bed was comfortable. Access to the 6-bed dorm is up a steep spiral staircase from the kitchen. The lights in the 6-bed dorm are on motion detectors, and go off after a short time, leaving you in the dark. The staff invented new rules after I paid. In the kitchen lives a greedy, smelly male dog that thinks a person’s leg is a female dog!
