Experience León beyond the usual tourist spots. Hostal El Río is located within León’s historic district, approximately a 10-minute walk from the city center, in a genuine Nicaraguan neighborhood where local families live, neighbors greet each other from their doorways, and everyday life unfolds around you.

You’ll find cafés, bakeries, supermarkets, small local shops, and the traditional market nearby, where you can discover fresh tropical fruits and local produce. Don’t miss Pan y Paz, a popular French bakery and café.

Getting here: From León’s main bus terminal, the hostel is approximately a five-block walk. A taxi should cost around C$60 per person (approximately US$1.80). We recommend agreeing on the fare before starting your journey and avoiding unlicensed or overpriced bicycle taxis.
