Caveland is a social, laid-back hostel set in an authentic 18th-century winery in Karterados, a traditional village in the heart of Santorini. If you’re looking for real connections, space to relax, and a local vibe away from the crowds, you’ll feel at home here.
We’re a 25-minute walk (or 5-minute drive) from Fira, the island’s lively capital, surrounded by everyday island life — cave houses, quiet streets, and locals enjoying village rhythms. This is Santorini as it truly is.
Caveland is all about community and shared experiences. Our large indoor and outdoor communal areas, gardens, terraces, and pool make it easy to meet other travelers, work remotely, or simply slow down and enjoy the island.
Seasonal weekly activities may include morning yoga sessions (Easter and Summer), Greek sampling dinners at a local restaurant (twice a week), and pizza & movie nights (once per week) in our front yard. Activities vary by season — check our notice board or ask reception for the current schedule.
Your stay includes free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, luggage storage, a donation-based coffee corner, free parking for rental vehicles, and books to borrow.
