The funky dodo Backpackers Hostel is a brand new hostel located right in centre of the original Garifuna Hopkins village on the Caribbean coast of Belize. We offer comfortable budget accommodation in the spacious 14 bed dormitory in full size single bunk beds, lockers, free Wi-Fi, shaded outdoor chill out area with hammocks, well equipped kitchen free of use, new clean bathrooms a transport service and a laundry service.

If you are at the Hopkins road junction on the southern highway highway or somewhere in the vicinity Give me a call and I will come and collect you free of charge.

Roy and Anna are excellent hosts! They helped me figure out my plan for Cockscomb Basin and Bocawina! Both of which should be on everyone’s Belize travel list. The hostel itself is very well thought out. It has a good kitchen, comfortable beds, and even has an outdoor sink and clothes line for washing clothes. Would highly recommend!

Very nice hostel in a nice place. Everything very clean, showers working perfectly good. I can only talk in good terms of the staff always ready to help and very honest people. I forgot my money a few important things on the top of the bed I used and the cleaning ladys keep in reception no everyvody would do It. I always will thank that.

Chill hostel right at the entrance to Hopkins. Was there at a quiet time so not a ton to do but the owner is helpful and the hostel is a nice space.
