Camille Cooper

Camille Cooper’s solo exhibition, SHOWPIECE, blends puppetry and installation art to transform the Sun Porch into an insectarium. You’ll encounter insect puppets crafted from hormone therapy packaging, a thoughtful choice exploring themes of gender variance. The exhibition links local plants and insects to the space, creating a site-responsive experience that feels intimate and provocative. If you’re curious about how art can engage with identity and environment in unexpected ways, this show offers a fresh perspective. Beyond the visual display, the exhibition includes live performances on select dates, adding a dynamic layer to the experience. On October 4, you’ll have the chance to meet Camille Cooper herself during a public program, deepening your understanding of the work. Whether you come alone or with friends, the event invites reflection and conversation without feeling formal or staged. It’s a thoughtful way to spend time exploring creativity that challenges and surprises.
